A printable quote-comparison worksheet
Use the worksheet to compare the same finishing point across proposals. Record the circuits included, what remains, any panel or service changes, access assumptions, required approvals and the division of finishing work. An unexplained total is harder to compare than a clearly bounded scope.
Before the assessment
Gather the inspection report, insurer wording and relevant renovation plans. Note the property location, building type, occupancy and areas already accessible. Do not expose wiring to fill a blank on the worksheet. Record an unknown as a question rather than guessing.

Before authorizing the work
Settle the approach to discoveries and the expected handover records. Confirm who closes openings, matches finishes and paints. Where other trades are involved, clarify the inspection milestone they depend on before they proceed.
Keep the final records
Retain the agreed scope, authorized changes, applicable inspection information and a description of wiring left in place. For partial work, those boundaries help a later contractor or owner understand what the completed project did and did not address.
